Indications for the Allard Cross Semi-Rigid Knee Brace

The CROSS Semi-Rigid Knee Orthosis is designed to maintain and rehabilitate mild to moderate sufferers of neuromuscular diseases and injuries, in particular those that cause hyperextension of the knee joint. As such, the orthosis is suited to the following conditions:

• Management of Genu Recurvatum (Knee Instability)
• Rhuemetoid Arthritis
• Osteoarthritis
• Mild to moderate hyperextension
• Ligament instability
• Post-trauma
• Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

How Can You Apply the CROSS Semi-Rigid Support with One Hand?

Reinforcement in the upper wide cuff keeps the orthosis open so the foot and leg slide easily into the brace, helping users with limited function to put on the orthosis with only one hand. This “donning aid” further assists users with limited balance to guide the orthosis over the foot and pull it up on the leg.
